Vaccines Don’t Cause Autism

Vaccines Don't Cause Autism

In 1998, a doctor in England published a report of 12 children he saw in his clinic who, he claimed, developed intestinal inflammation and then autism after receiving the MMR vaccine.

It turned out everything in the paper was a lie.

An investigative journalist discovered:

  • The children had been sent to him by a lawyer hired by parents who believed the MMR vaccine had caused their children’s autism.
  • The doctor was paid by the lawyer to prove their case.
  • The 8 children who did have autism developed their symptoms before they ever received the vaccine.
  • The intestinal findings and lab tests that they claimed showed the vaccine virus in these children were false, and the lab was found to be phony.

The paper was retracted from the journal and the doctor lost his license to practice medicine.

Multiple, large-scale, high-quality research studies done since then have shown no linkage between the MMR vaccine and autism. In fact, the MMR vaccine has never been shown to cause autism.
